Oh Happy Day

Happy St. Valentines' day, this is turning into something like Christmas at the Merritt house hold. I got 3 new books and a new bead for my Pandora bracelet. Two of the books are by one of my new favorite writers, Jodi Picoult. I have read about half a dozen of her 17 book and each one is more amazing then the last. Jodi's ability to flesh out characters is the main reason I keep coming back again and again. The third book I have been holding off buying because I really did not want to shell out the hard cover price. My husband who knows this only too well used it as an opportunity to get me a much wanted gift. Dan Brown's writing style is fast and fact based. The Lost Symbol follows a much loved character, "Robert Langdon", from Brown's other books "Angels & Demons", and "The Da Vinci Code". Both were great reads. Next to my obsession with kid lit, Jodi and Dan are two of my preferred writers.

Made chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Now need to go spend some quality time at the gym. Plus the Hubster is making a full Turkey dinner!! Maybe I should just live at the gym and come back here for meals.

Happy Valentine's Day Meritt...I saw your beautiful and inspiring jewelry from Renee's blog. You're one talented artist. I'm doing some few bead works too...

LOL! I got a book for Valentine's Day too! "Worst Case" by Patterson and Ledwidge. Not so good.

I have to respectfully disagree with you re: Dan Brown. He's formulaic and predictable. I read "The DaVinci Code" and was bored silly, and watched "Angels & Demons" last weekend and was bored yet again!
