Hey City of Rochester, guess what?

I don't totally hate the stretch of Broad Street in front of my work being closed. I thought I would, thought it would be a huge pain in the butt. The commute is the same amount of time and the lack of constant noise is very refreshing. I still have very strong concerns about the city's ability to keep the "Pond" clean and free of the homeless that camp out in the Civic Center Garage. If someone can keep the area clean and free of pests, count me in.

Oh Wow!!

I love my stuff, but I make it for me. That is the one rule I have for my stuff. I have to want to keep it for myself. And not just keep it, but want to like wear it everyday. Well now thanks to Ms. Renée you can all see my stuff the way I see it. I know I have said it before, but it bears repeating THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Renée!!

Oh Happy Day

Happy St. Valentines' day, this is turning into something like Christmas at the Merritt house hold. I got 3 new books and a new bead for my Pandora bracelet. Two of the books are by one of my new favorite writers, Jodi Picoult. I have read about half a dozen of her 17 book and each one is more amazing then the last. Jodi's ability to flesh out characters is the main reason I keep coming back again and again. The third book I have been holding off buying because I really did not want to shell out the hard cover price. My husband who knows this only too well used it as an opportunity to get me a much wanted gift. Dan Brown's writing style is fast and fact based. The Lost Symbol follows a much loved character, "Robert Langdon", from Brown's other books "Angels & Demons", and "The Da Vinci Code". Both were great reads. Next to my obsession with kid lit, Jodi and Dan are two of my preferred writers.

Made chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast. Now need to go spend some quality time at the gym. Plus the Hubster is making a full Turkey dinner!! Maybe I should just live at the gym and come back here for meals.
